  1. Worship (Psalm 103 and 107)
  2. Fellowship (Matt 22:39)
  3. Discipleship and Evangelism (Matt 28:18-20)
  4. Ministry (1 Pet 4:10)

THE REDEEMED MINISTRIES is founded upon the principles of the Bible passage from which it takes its name and of the Great Commission of MATTHEW 28:18-20. We believe that the Bible should be received as both true and guiding, so these passages should be followed by every member of the Body of Christ. This Ministry is dedicated to accomplishing the work that is set forth in these passages as well as helping other members of the Body to do the same.

MATTHEW 28:18-20 tells us to “Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you”.   From this, we get the commandment to GO and reach out to those who do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord. This outreach should be both local and global. Church congregations should be both evangelical and missional at their heart. However, we also see that evangelism is only the beginning. The primary command is to make disciples. This cannot be done unless relationships are formed with the people and they are taught what Jesus has taught us and brought into a personal relationship with HIM. In order to accomplish this, we subscribe to 2 Timothy 3:16-17 that All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. This is the heart of discipleship.

Our Belief

We also believe that God has provided talents and gifts equipping us to serve and accomplish good works in accordance with the calling and will of God. Effective ministry seeks to identify, develop, and use these talents (of both the servers and the served) toward the meeting of needs and the edification of the people being served.

We find that no healthy congregation hides in a building and awaits outsiders to become curious about Christ. Rather, all congregations and all members of each congregation need to be engaged to the extent that they are able in sharing their faith with others and actively building the Body of Christ.

MATTHEW 25:34-40 is part of a passage (verses 31-46) describing judgment by Christ as King. He commends the righteous for their obedience to good works and tells them to inherit the Kingdom as a reward. We interpret the description of these good works as meeting the needs of the needy – both spiritually and physically. We understand that we often do not have an opportunity to make disciples unless we minister to the physical needs of people.  We also understand that the spiritual needs of people cannot be truly fulfilled outside of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord. Therefore, while we believe in practical works of service, we also believe that these good works must also lead to opportunities to present the Gospel of Christ. Similarly, we believe that if we fail to assist in meeting the physical needs of those we are in contact with (to the extent that God has enabled us), we do not have an adequate testimony to disciple them. In ministering to the needs of others, we shall always seek to speak the truth with love, gentleness, and respect. We seek to always be vessels of the practical grace of our Lord Jesus Christ so that His name may always be glorified through us.  We recognize that there is but one Church: the body of all believers world-wide. Therefore, we seek to work with all congregations who proclaim the true Gospel to fulfill the Great Commission and to minister effectively to the needs of all people. However, this Ministry does not try to be all things to all people; rather, we seek to be excellent in the position in the Body where Christ has placed us and to work with the other parts of the Body to achieve HIS goals. To facilitate this, we have established several partnerships to provide ministry resources to as many people as possible.

OUR IDENTITY

We are identified as The Redeemed Ministries-Ikhaya Labahlengwa. God’s Family

OUR VISION

We are a family of God
We are a movement of God; for God
We set out our energies to building godly families thereby establishing a kingdom where God can reign
on Earth as in Heaven.

OUR BELIEVE

1. We believe in God the Father, Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth and all things visible and invisible: The one living, eternal and true God, whose deepest nature is heart and love. Man and the universe reflect His personality; nature and purpose. He wills for us build the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth for all mankind; to live in peace; joy and order forever.
We believe that:

  1. 2. God’s desire is for man and creation is eternal and unchanging. He wants men and women to fulfil 3 blessings:
    a) To each grow to perfection so as to be one in heart, will and action with God, having their bodies and minds united together in perfect harmony centering on God’s love.
    b) to be united by God as spouses and give birth to sinless children of God, thereby establishing sinless family and ultimately a sinless world
    c) To become lords of the created world by establishing a loving dominion of reciprocal give and take with it.

Because of man’s sin; however; none of these happened. Therefore God’s present desire is to eradicate sin and restore to bring about the earthly and heavenly kingdom of God. We believe that:
    3. Sin causes God to grieve for His lost children and lost world as creation groans and travail, waiting to be united through the true children of God.
    We believe that:

    4. Fallen mankind can be restored to God only through Christ the Messiah, who comes as a new Adam, to parent (as sinless parents) the human race, through whom man can be reborn into God’s family.
    a. Jesus of Nazareth came as the Messiah, the Christ, His only begotten Son, God.
    b. He became one with God, speaking the words of God and doing the works of God and revealing God as a Father and Parent to the people.
    c. The people; however; rejected and crucified Him; thereby preventing his building of the Kingdom of God on earth.
    d. Jesus Christ was victorious over satan through resurrection, thus made possible spiritual salvation for those who are reborn through the Holy Spirit and securing the spiritual salvation.
    e. The restoration of the Kingdom depends on believers to take up their responsibility as bestowed upon them to become True Parents who will bring both physical and spiritual salvation.
    We believe that:
    5. Complete restoration will be realized when the relationship with God (vertical) and with fellowman (horizontal) is corrected through Christ and man taking responsibility to take measures to restore proper moral starts and practices, forming true families, uniting all people and races. We believe that:
    6. Resurrection is the process of restoration to spiritual life and spiritual maturity; ultimately uniting man with God.
    a. It is passing from spiritual death into spiritual life.
    b. This is accomplished through us carrying our portion of responsibility, prayer, good deeds, leading a godly life, by the help of the saints and the Holy Spirit and completed by God’s bringing man to rebirth through the restored Man and His Bride who will be the Messiah and True Parents of all mankind.
    c. Through humankind accepting the True Parents; obeying them and following them, our original sin will be eradicated, and we will become perfect.

True families fulfilling God’s ideal will fill the world and establish the Kingdom of God both on Earth and in Heaven.

This we solemnly declare and believe
